You have got to love practical effects. Several images of the set of Star Wars episode 7 have been released online, and it’s none other than the Millennium Falcon, one of the fastest “pieces of junk” in the galaxy. What’s great about this is that the ship looks like it’s being built from the ground up. Also you got to keep in mind that the ship will be old and rusty and probably broken in several parts since the story takes place 30 years after Return of the Jedi and it’s probably traveled light years across uncharted realms of space. These images aren’t a total shock since we already know that the original cast is coming back, but it’s still exciting to see one of the most iconic ships being brought back to life. And I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see our old friends walking inside the corridors and piloting the spacecraft. These images are great since it’s getting back to the original trilogy’s routs by mixing practical effects with CGI. J.J., you’re our only hope. Please don’t let us down.

And here’s to hoping that everything will look and feel exactly like the three original Star Wars trilogy did.
